The 2016 show season was both successful and enjoyable for the Roscallie flock. Despite attending just three shows, we were thrilled to return home with two Championships, two Reserve Champions, and numerous first-place prizes.

We were especially proud of our home-bred ewe lamb, Roscallie Dilly Dally (Wallridge Moor Bob x Beech Hay Balata), who remained unbeaten throughout the season, taking both Champion and Reserve Champion titles. Our shearling ewe, Brookdene Claudia (Woodston Pedrog x Brookdene 393T), also performed consistently, achieving two firsts, a second, and a Reserve Championship.

From the eight breed classes we entered during the season, we were only beaten twice. In six classes where we had two entries, we were delighted to place 1st and 2nd in four of them, and 1st and 3rd or 2nd and 3rd in the others.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the judges for their time and valued feedback, which is always appreciated. A special thank you also goes to the show organizers, stewards, and everyone who works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that each event runs smoothly, often under challenging wet and windy British summer weather!

 

Many congratulations to all the other exhibitors - preparing a show team requires significant time and effort, and the consistently high standard of livestock makes each rosette a privilege to take home.
