We had a very successful trip to the Premier Sale at Carlisle where we purchased ram lamb Killymallaght Dexter from Northern Ireland breeders Rachel and Andrew Megarrell. He has an outstanding show record and remained unbeaten in the ring this season:

• 1st ram lamb and Male Champion at Northern Ireland National Show

• 1st ram lamb, part of the winning group of 3 and Reserve Junior Champion Balmoral Show

• 1st ram lamb and Male Champion Omagh Show

• 1st ram lamb Ballymena Show

• 1st ram lamb Armagh Show

 

He's a lovely lamb with great length and height and was bought for the future development of our flock, although he will be used on any ewes that may return this year.

We also bought a smart ewe lamb from the Cynefin flock in Anglesey. She was shown once by her breeder Mrs Olwen Hughes-Owen and was 2nd in a strong ewe lamb class at the Royal Welsh Show. A very correct lamb who will be a great asset to our flock. (Published August, 2016)
